OK, so I love building FileMaker-backed websites.
I’ve been developing websites with PHP since 2005 (& with CDML long before that). My first PHP sites were built with FX.php and now I tend to use the FileMaker API for PHP more often. Over time I’ve added more and more tools to my toolkit, especially JavaScript (mainly jQuery) and CSS, and I love keeping up on new trends in web design and development.
When I learn something new in my work, I may tweet about it, but sometimes I need more than 140 characters to explain what I’ve learned. And recently I started mentoring other FileMaker developers with their PHP & jQuery development and was reminded that there aren’t that many resources devoted to FileMaker developers who are doing web development. There are some good web forums and email lists, but I know a lot of developers would rather find things out on their own than ask a question. So I built myself a blog :) and now I can easily share tips, code samples, screenshots, & videos for anyone to find.
BTW, I also host the annual CWP User Group at the FileMaker Developer Conference. I’d love to see you there (as well as on the blog)!
